Pregnancy Yuckies

Category: Uncategorized

The yuckies are back. On Sunday I came down with some sort of flu bug. The fever went away, but the stomach queasiness – all day long – has not. I feel like I’m right back at week 6. I want to crawl into my bed and fast forward 6 weeks to HOPE that I feel that magical refreshed fabulous feeling you’re supposed to feel in the 2nd trimester.

I don’t feel so magical myself these days.

Weeks 10-11-12…

Category: Uncategorized

Week 9 we were busy packing the house up – so no picture that week.

Week 10 was in the middle of final packing..hence the rugged look… ;)

Week 11 feeling finally over the sickness…

Week 12 almost out of the fog and feeling somewhat-like my normal self…and I look more normal below with the exception of that mini-bulge! ;)

Not a ton to report on around here. We’ve been busy getting the new house started..they break ground this week. We are in a whirlwind of selections…brick, roof, cabinets, etc….fun and exciting…I’m excited this is all going so fast, the sooner we get in the new house the better. So odd sometimes in our temporary digs…full of boxes, empty walls and shelves…doesn’t feel like home. Looking forward to having a real home again in 4 more months!

Interesting Cravings…

Category: Uncategorized

On the way home yesterday, I just had to stop by the grocery store and pick up two items I was craving (though not together, but to be eaten at separate times)…

1. Cabbage – sauteed in butter and salt and pepper (you know like on St. Patty’s Day).

2. Cinnamon Raisin Bread – toasted with butter.

I made the cabbage real quick to have with dinner last night…and the toast I had this morning when I got to work.

Typing this up right now is already got me hungry for either or…again!

Happy Friday!

Our lime has a heartbeat!

Yes we heard it yesterday and it was the most relieving sound ever! The nurse first did it at the start of our appointment and in a few short words, SUCKED AT IT. Basically freaked me out because she took wayyyy too long. Uncomfortably long. I thought, oh goodness, my worst fears have come true. After what seemed like ETERNITY, she did end up finding it for a few short seconds, but not enough to satisfy me….

My doctor saw the look on my face and instantly offered to do it again to put me at ease. And of course she was right on the money in an instant. And it was the best sound ever! 160 was the rate…perfectly healthy. He or she even made a few movements…cute little blip sounds on the doppler as it bounced around…sooo fun and amazing.

Exhaling in relief again… ;)
