Favorite finds for starting the year with focus + momentum
On the first afternoon of 2013, I sat down with a cup of Chai Tea and my new Day Designer + Making Things Happen journal and felt a little bit of giddiness for the year that is ahead. I started Lara’s 2013 Making Things Happen series and wrote down long lists of what went right and what went wrong in 2012. It felt good to celebrate the success and also reflect on the trials and lessons learned.
Of course, my favorite exercise was putting together a vision board for 2013 on Pinterest. It is filled with a blend of things that fire me up creatively, inspirational messages, goals and objects that make me a happy gal. (Which includes everything from cute and cuddly yellow labs to pretty ruffly dresses).
And because I don’t like to keep things I discover and love a secret (I love sharing the love y’all!), I’m sharing a few of my favorite things around the web that I’m using in my own business and personal life to start the year off right. Even more fabulous is that I personally know the first six women on this list and can vouch to how smart and brilliant they are. I’m grateful for the positive effects each one has had on my business in some way. I hope you’ll find some of these beneficial to you as well!
