Amber Housley

Las Vegas as never before.

Category: Uncategorized

Wet_image I take back all that I’ve said bad about Vegas.

Tonight I played tourguide to a fellow colleague who had never been to Vegas before. It was so cool seeing Vegas through the eyes of one who had never seen it before. I had a renewed sense of home, if you could say…

We did it ALL.

We ate at one of my favorite places, Cafe Babareeba (whoo will be back in June for the bachelorette!)…

We saw the mosaics and luxuriousness of Wynn….
We saw the pirates of TI…
We saw the volcano explode at Mirage…
We saw the gondeliers at Venetian…
We strolled around (mai-tai in hand) the Forum Shops of Caesars (dude! I hung out here as a teenager!?@?! Crazy huh?!?!)
I showed her the famous piano at FOA Schwartz and of course those wierd greek statues show…
I picked up some $39 flip flops at Abercrombie so I could continue this 2-3 mile journey without the heels…
We headed to Bellagio to see the conservatory that they change every other month…no less spectacular than the time before I’ve seen it…

And we finished it with the grand finale.

The fountains at Bellagio.

Fountains. Frank Sinatra.

Never have I felt more goosebumps and realized how cool it was too grow up with this in my backyard…all never really affected by it…just sort of something that was always there….and never realizing how special it really was.

Las Vegas as I’ve never seen it before.

Amber, are we on the same wavelength? While, it’s been a while since I’ve played tourist at home, I do love that every time I go home there’s something new to see. Even if it’s only been a month. Not too many people can say that about their hometown. PS – that photo is amazing! Great job.

Flippin’ awesome!!!
Dude, you just took me back to Jan. 2006 (when we were there for CHA) – how cool it would have been to grown up with that! We really enjoyed Vegas – thanks for reminding me! :0)
