Preppy Americana Styled Photo Shoot By The Shores Of Old Hickory Lake

As the leaves are blowing and the temperatures are dipping, I’d like to look back on this styled wedding photo shoot and wistfully remember how great summer is. Reality though, summer is HOT in Nashville, and to know all the sweat and hard work that went into these images is trophy worthy. But really though, the end result is always worth the effort and this case is no exception! These images by Kristyn Hogan make everything look effortless and carefree. So many fabulous friends and vendors pitched in to make our Ralph Lauren-inspired, vintage prep with a dash of nautical (catchy description isn’t it?) the success that it was and I thank them all for it. The always lovely Elizabeth Ann Designs wedding blog shared it with their readers and we are grateful for the feature! You can many more images in our gallery here.

Nothing says summer better than fresh picked blueberries and raspberries!

The invitation details I designed were accented by Jenni Bowlin patterned paper. I chose the block and script font mixes to add a touch of elegance to the more casual patriotic tone of the patterns. The straw woven invitation envelope is a show-stopper feature for your guests and brings in a natural element to the whole affair. Another of my favorite parts of this suite is the kraft paper slotted tag that holds travel details for out of town guests. This tag is sweetly accented with red/white bakers twine.

Burlap stringed wedding ceremony programs and raspberry mint juleps are a welcome sight to greet guests with.

The vintage Coca-Cola bottle tray and bottles were sourced from the local Nashville flea market and filled with fresh flowers. This tray and bottles have had a lot of use since I first found them earlier this summer!

Little drawstring burlap bags hold guests’ silverware and are accented with a baker’s twine bow menu. Don’t you love that little flag!?

I think what better way to present a dreamy wedding cake than atop a stack of vintage suitcases made into a table!

A tray of homemade Strawberry Wine bottles for guests to part with. The Save the Date was backed on a vintage Bingo Card with the date number circled on the front. Genius if I don’t say so myself! ;)

Thanks again to everyone!
