Behind the scenes of my Coterie Mastermind Retreat
In this episode of The Bloom and Grow Show, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my most recent Coterie Mastermind Beach Retreat.
Since 2019, this retreat has held a special place in my heart—and this year, it truly felt like a full-circle moment. I’m sharing why this retreat matters not only to the incredible women I serve, but also to me.
It happens each February in the beautiful 30A area of Florida's Panhandle, a place I’ve been visiting with my family for years. While Florida is known for its warm weather, this retreat takes place during the cooler months, and this year we had a bit of everything—rain, cool temps, and by the end, sunshine and warmth to make for the perfect beach-y vibe.
The home we stayed in this year was a showstopper! A multi-million dollar beach house that was luxurious but also reminded me of the long road it took to get to this point in my business. I had a moment where I looked around and felt so deeply grateful for how far I've come, and the privilege of creating experiences like this.
One of the most beautiful aspects of hosting retreats like this is how deeply it allows me to connect with my clients. Having repeat attendees and first-timers in the same room creates such a rich, collaborative atmosphere where the energy flows and ideas truly flourish. It's not just about what happens during the sessions—it’s about how we all come together, support one another, and create lasting relationships that extend beyond the event itself.
Over the years, I’ve fine-tuned the systems for this retreat.
I now know exactly how to curate a retreat experience that’s both deeply impactful and easy to execute. From the right layout of the house to the exact number of hummus containers and La Croix, I’ve created a process that lets me fully enjoy the experience. This year, I even got to participate in a fun TikTok dance with the ladies—a new tradition! It was a reminder that, even as a host, I can fully step into the moment and enjoy the fun, too.
What stood out most this time was the power of simplicity and intentionality in retreat design. This retreat was a smaller, more streamlined experience, but it allowed for powerful breakthroughs and immediate transformation. We kicked off with mastermind hot seats right away, which got everyone in a mindset of collaboration and deep connection. These intimate, well-curated spaces allow for a level of transformation that larger events often can’t achieve.
As we talked about future retreats, I couldn’t help but get excited about what’s next.
In addition to the annual Coterie Mastermind Beach Retreat, I’m already planning a fall retreat in Nashville. It’s an opportunity to gather together, reset, and refocus, and I can’t wait to see what the next retreat season holds.
Retreats don’t have to be extravagant or complex. Whether you’re hosting a small, virtual event or a full-scale destination retreat, there’s always room for transformation. I’m sharing all the strategies that make retreats successful in my upcoming masterclass, The Retreat Effect, on April 16th. You won’t want to miss it!
If you’ve ever dreamed of hosting your own retreat or adding them to your offerings, this is your moment. Retreats aren’t just for large-scale events—they can start small, be strategic, and offer massive value. I’m excited to help you unlock this potential for your business.
