Today’s episode of the Bloom & Grow Show is a bit of a game-changer because we’re diving into a topic that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves.

That’s right, today I’m sharing why physical brand touchpoints are the most powerful (and possibly underutilized) tool that you can use to make your brand unforgettable. Whether it’s a handwritten note, a branded journal, or a beautifully designed welcome kit, sending something physical has a unique ability to connect with your customers on a much deeper level than any email or social media post ever could.

Why Physical Touchpoints Matter

Let’s talk about the state of the online space for a moment. It’s noisy, isn’t it? The constant push to post more, engage more, and try to beat the ever-changing algorithms is overwhelming. It’s like everyone’s trying to be louder than the next person, but the more we try to get noticed, the more we blend in.

In a world filled with endless scrolls and digital noise, the physical touchpoints you send your customers can do something that a digital message just can’t.

They create moments that stick. When you send something through the mail, whether it’s a thank-you card, a branded notebook, or a thoughtful gift, you’re breaking through the noise and offering a tangible reminder of your brand.

Here’s what’s powerful about that: people remember physical items. Think about it. How often do you look at something a friend or a business has sent you and think, “Wow, this is special”? That’s the kind of brand loyalty we’re after. It's not just about selling a product or service, it’s about building an experience that people feel connected to,something they’ll want to hold on to and share with others.

The Strategy Behind It All

Now, you might be thinking, “That sounds great, but how do I even begin? I don’t have a fancy warehouse or a huge budget for shipping.” Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

You don’t need a big budget or a shipping department to start
incorporating physical touchpoints into your brand. In fact, one of the most powerful things you can do is to keep it simple and intentional. The goal isn’t to throw cute things at your customers just for the sake of it, it’s about creating memorable moments that resonate with your audience.

What I love about this strategy is that it’s not just about aesthetics, it’s also about increasing customer lifetime value.

Think about it: it's more cost-effective to nurture and sell to existing customers than to constantly be chasing new leads. By creating small, intentional touchpoints that make your customers feel seen and appreciated, you’re building a community that wants to stick around for the long haul.

As a business owner, you want your customers to not only buy from you but to come back and to tell others about you. Physical touchpoints make that happen.

How to Start with Physical Touchpoints

I’m sure you’re wondering, “Okay Amber, this sounds great, but how do I get started?” The truth is, you can start small. You don’t need a fancy setup or a design degree to implement this strategy effectively.

In fact, the best place to start is with a simple plan. I’ve designed a strategy called the PUMP Method, which breaks down four simple steps that will help you create an obsession-worthy brand experience.

One of the things I’ve heard from so many entrepreneurs is that they don’t feel “creative” enough to pull this off. And let me tell you, creativity is not a prerequisite here. I teach my students how to create physical touchpoints that feel on-brand and impactful without needing to spend hours designing or crafting.

You don’t need to overthink it. A simple, thoughtfully designed product that aligns with your brand will work wonders.

The Impact of Physical Touchpoints

When you incorporate physical touchpoints into your business, the impact is far-reaching. Here’s why:

It boosts retention: People keep physical items, and they associate those items with your brand. Every time they see it, they’re reminded of your business and the experience you created for them. The more positive associations they have, the more likely they are to come back.

It increases word-of-mouth: Your customers will share these items with others, whether it’s on social media or just in casual conversation. That’s free marketing right there!

It creates deeper connections: It’s one thing to engage with someone online, but when you send a thoughtful physical item, it makes them feel seen and valued. That’s how you build trust and loyalty.
