4 Tips to Help You Start Facebook Marketing Today

1. Use Facebook’s “check-in” feature
Whether you have a brick and mortar store or an online shop, incentivize this feature for your customers.
Here's an example for you: my local dentist gives away a free lip balm if you go online and tag them. People enjoy free stuff and love any kind of incentive. (And every one of us always needs a lip balm.)
This “check-in” is sent and broadcasted out to all of your followers — and what does that do for the business?
It gives them exposure and plants the idea in your followers’ heads that they need that service, too.
So anytime your customers can do this for your business, you’re getting free advertising as it’s shared with their followers!
2. Share about your business with friends and family
Believe it or not, all your Facebook friends want to hear from you.
Trust me… they’re curious.
It's important that your friends and family know what you offer because they might know someone else who needs what you have.
I’m not saying to put direct links and sales things on your personal profile (because that’s against the terms of service), but this is the opportunity to just share the good things that you're working on.
Let them be known because you never know who needs what you have!
3. Starting using Facebook Lives (this is a big one!)
Storytell to show behind-the-scenes of your business.
Trust me, creating and being able to create content that doesn't have to be perfect? It’s like we’re making our own reality TV. So either you're entertaining or you're being insanely helpful.
To do that, get yourself behind the video more often to form that connection with your followers.
Show more about you as a brand, as a business, what you're about, how all the mechanics work behind the scenes for your business or your office or your shop.
4. Spend time in community Facebook groups
Wherever your audience or your customers are hanging out, that can be a really great place for you to go and insert yourself and be really helpful.
Do a little search when you go into a Facebook group and find all the threads of people who are asking about the type of business or service you provide.
You can be the first to raise your hand and say, “Hey, I've got the answer for you right here.”
Set a timer per day and spend 10 minutes really focused in the Facebook groups: answering, recommending, giving help advice.
And after that, get back to taking care of your customers!
