It’s the best time of the year to get things going for your business, but I know sometimes there are things keeping you up at night, right? So, I’m going to answer 3 really popular questions I get asked all the time, and that maybe you’ve been wondering, too.

Q: Where do I even begin with marketing my business?
A: I have a ton of thoughts on this, so I’m just gonna break it down below. You ready?
You're gonna need to have a website of some sort.
And this doesn't have to be fancy. I just need you to have a space to be able to talk about the solutions that you offer for whatever problems your customers have right now.
I also need you to have a way for them to contact you away for the transaction of services- so think contact form.
Go out there and reserve those social media profiles, naming them something that's more than the default one.
It needs to have something to do with what your product, service, and business is all about.
You want potential customers to associate your social media presence to what you actually offer them.
What are the statements, the mission, and everything else that you're putting out there into the world?
Keep it consistent, friend! It’s more than just logos and visuals.
I really want you to be cohesive and consistent in the visuals you're putting out and in your messaging.
What are the messages you're consistently telling your potential customers? What are the things that you're saying about what you do? Maybe it's a guarantee, maybe it's your tagline, whatever it is- hammer it home so they know what to expect from you!
Have a Plan:
When you actually create a plan that has goals and a framework and a system that you can repeat over and over again, you are going to have great odds of being successful in executing that plan.

Q: Can I do without Facebook as a social media platform if I use others that I trust? First I have to get my website up, then worry about social media, right?
A: You don't need a complicated website, friend. Keep it simple.
You can go and add all the bells and whistles later.
As long as you've got the basics on there for them to be able to reach out, book a call or buy the product, whatever it may be, that's what's most important.
But listen, you don't have to wait for that website. Let's just get things going. These social platforms are powerful tools that have made it so easy for us to share our business.
Let's use the tools to our advantage even before we're ready in all the areas.
Do you need to be on Facebook? No, you don't have to do anything. But would it be helpful? Yeah, it would! I just want to have you consider having a presence on this platform because it can only benefit your social presence!
Q: How can I understand my target audience and reach them better?
A: You're going to want to position yourself as an expert, a leader in your industry, a leader in your market, a leader in your expertise.
When you are looking to position yourself as an expert, you have to show that knowledge!
Share that knowledge and expertise through content strategy, through content marketing; whether that's your email list or a blog post or a video that shows you doing your craft.

Want to know how I got connected to them? It's because one of the owners of the company that manages all of them was on my email list, who was watching what I was doing.
They saw me showing up in so many different places walking the walk, and talking the talk.
Until one day I heard “Hey, I want to get to know you more. I like what you're doing here. And I think you could be a benefit to our company and to the clients that we have...”
So think to yourself: How can I show my expertise?
You have an opportunity to do things differently to get their attention. From sending personalized packages to finding out who’s connected to so-and-so.
This is old fashioned marketing.
